Seth Merrill, CFA

Seth Merrill is President and founder of Cederian Investments, LLC. Before launching the firm, Seth served as a voting member of the Small Cap Investment Committee at Brandes Investment Partners, a San Diego value-investing firm that managed more than $50 billion in client assets at the time of his departure. Seth was also a Senior Equity Research Analyst at Brandes, with primary responsibility for global coverage of the chemical industry. Prior to joining Brandes in 2003, Seth worked in finance and treasury roles at Ford Motor Company. Seth received his MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business and his BS (magna cum laude) in accounting from Brigham Young University. Seth is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) charterholder and previously earned the Certified in Financial Management and Certified Management Accountant designations. Seth has fourteen years of investing experience. Seth has lived in Italy and Israel, as well as in California, Michigan, and Utah.

Jason Lindquist, PhD

Jason Lindquist is Director of Operations and a founding partner at Cederian Investments, LLC. Before partnering with Seth to launch Cederian, Jason held a research appointment at Brown University and has held a variety of positions in higher education, publishing, and the non-profit sector. Jason received an MA and a PhD in literature from Indiana University and a BA in English (magna cum laude) from Brigham Young University. In 2003, he was awarded a Fulbright Graduate Fellowship to study in Berlin, Germany. Jason holds the Series 65 securities license and has six years of experience in investment management operations and compliance. Jason has lived in Germany and Switzerland, as well as Hawaii, Rhode Island, Indiana, and Utah.

Daniel Carr, JD, MBA

Daniel Carr is Director of Business Development at Cederian Investments, LLC. Prior to joining Cederian, he held various legal and financial management positions for companies including Exxon Mobil, IBM, and Novell, most recently as legal department manager for the second largest integrated petrochemical complex in the United States. Daniel received his JD (magna cum laude) and BS in accounting from Brigham Young University, and his MBA (magna cum laude) from the University of Notre Dame. While at Notre Dame, he studied international finance at Universidad Alberto Hurtado in Santiago, Chile, and in London, UK in conjunction with the University of Cambridge and Imperial College. He is a licensed attorney and previously earned the Certified in Financial Management and Certified Management Accountant designations, and received the Student Performance Award for the highest CFM exam score in the country in 2001. He was raised in Springville, UT and has also previously lived in California, Colorado, Connecticut, Indiana, Louisiana, Oregon, Pennsylvania, and Texas.
